Lost Two Stone!

I’m not one for posts but feel I need to share with everyone earlier this year I had a massive wake up call.
My work colleague and friend sadly past away.
He was my age 37 at the time and had a family. It was a bit of a shock to me but got me thinking about how quickly life can be taken away from us
So back in February I started to change I was over 16st bloated never done any sort of exercise and had a bad diet.
I have always had a interest in boxing but never stuck to it but this time I found a fitness group that helped with people similar to myself and age. Fayz fitness which is a fitness and boxing group. My first session he offered free to see if I wanted to continue. We had a conversation about what I wanted to get out of this. So he knew exactly how to help with my goals.
I went to that first session and I hated it ,it was tough I couldn’t walk for 3 days after lol.
But I continued to carry on regardless.
I now train with him and the group of over 30s 3 times a week and I’m now more healthier and a lot fitter than I was I now weigh 14st which is amazing I’ve still not reached my goal I have a little way to go. But without Fayz encouragement I would of probably given up months ago. I’m now doing something I’ve always wanted to do and that’s boxing.

After moving back to Watford I was looking for a gym to carry on training and found Fayz on social media. Within a couple of days I’d organised a trial session and straight away I knew I’d found the right place. I went for a routine blood test, as part of turning 40. It came as a bit of a shock to be diagnosed as pre-diabetic, not only that, but my follow up highlighted high blood pressure and a high pulse rate. My Doctor suggested taking medication to control it. However, I wanted to avoid this so I said I would change my diet and exercise. I could see from her expression, she was thinking, I’ve heard that one before. The majority of people diagnosed pre-diabetic normally become diabetic within two years. For about a year I change my diet did a bit of exercise, I lost a bit of weight, but a year later I was still in the pre-diabetic zone and my pulse and blood pressure were still high. I had stopped it from getting any worse but not reversed it. I knew I needed to up my game. That's when I was introduced to Fayz and started training with him on Sunday mornings. It’s a combination of the boxing skill base and cardio base training that has kick started my road to recovery. I have been training with Fayz just over six months now. The progress I have made has been remarkable. I have lost 10kg, my blood pressure and pulse rate is normal. The most significant change is I am no longer pre-diabetic. My Sunday morning training with Fayz now forms the cornerstone of my exercise and diet plan. Having that structured training by a professional really has made the difference. I am probably the fittest I have been for the last 20 years. I track all my sessions and I regularly burn over 1000 calories in one session. My Doctor has said I have put years on my life, just by changing my lifestyle. The goal is to lose a further 15kg which I fully expect to do by sticking with the training. Discovered a real love of boxing having joined Fayz at his gym in Watford nearly two years ago. Met some cracking people all willing to share knowledge and improve together in the sweet science. Started out looking for a new way to stay fit as my football career was coming to an end and not only have I learned new skills, I have also become stronger in the process. I approached Fayz when i was struggling with my weight. When i met him for the first time he quickly put me at ease and understood what i was trying to achieve through the sessions. Overtime i could see a total transformation in my physical body structure. I had become more confident as a result of our sessions.
