Boxing How To – The Pull Counter

JULY 22, 2022 BOXINGVIDEOS / BY FAYZ

In this video we go over how to set traps in Boxing, using a variation of the pull counter, a move made popular by two Boxers, the late great Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather Jnr, arguably the best Boxer so far of the 21st century. We will be trying to set the trap to return our right cross so to bait our opponent into throwing the punch we want them to throw we will be dropping the left hand to give them an opening for either the jab or the cross, we keep the right hand high incase they throw the left hook. Weight will be on the front front with the head directly over. when your opponent throws either the jab or the right cross, you will be taking half a step back to avoid their punch, and then returning with your own right cross. Check it out in action in the video below.
